About

I am co-convenor of the Religious and Moral Education Special Interest Group in the British Association of Educational Research (http://www.bera.ac.uk), Executive Office for the Association of University Lecturers in Religious Education (http://www.aulre.org.uk), and co-lead a research theme group at Canterbury focussed on Faith, Beliefs and Values in Education. The group's current project is post secular education (http://www.postsecular.co.uk)

I have published textbooks on ethics and philosophy (see http://ethicalstudies.co.uk/?page_id=50) including my best selling Ethical Studies (50,000+ sold).

My research interests include the concept of dignity, human rights education, post secular education and religious education.

I provide consultancy to the Training and Development Agency and the Qualifications, Curriculum and Development Agency for the British Government Department for Education. I also write for the Culham Institute, reonline (http:www.reonline.org.uk).

I am a Christian of the Roman Catholic Church, heavily influenced by Ignatian Spirituality and the spirituality of the Taize community in France.
